Seamless

It works like airdrop should. All you do is install and share…No issues sharing between iPhone ipad and macbook.

Richard Shelton · 10 years ago

This app is what airdrop should have been. I can never get airdrop to work without a bunch of fidling around but this works flawlessly. The only thing that would make it better is dropbox integration.

I was always texting pictures to one of my kids so I could grab them onto another device. No longer. I just installed in on my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad… and it worked so nice. I can choose one device to send it to… or both. So cool. Love it already!!!

Crashing Problem

I’m using this App on Yosimite and it keeps crashing whenever I send something from my iPhone. Even when I click on the “Recent” tab, it crashes.

100 MB limit?

Seems kind of useless as a File Transfer Program if the limit is 100 MB… I could email this amount.

Hum42 · 10 years ago

All I can say is wow! This app works like a charm. Gone are the days of emailing myself a photo just to open/have it on another device. Setup was a snap and man is it fast. I tested it by sharing a photo from my iPhone camera roll to my Macbook Pro and it was there waiting for me in less than a second! This is really great stuff.

Does what AirDrop should have all along

This utlity is great. It does everything AirDrop should but doesn’t. Works seamlessly to send data between my Mac and iPhone/iPad.

cmoschip · 10 years ago

Are you kidding me! Free and it works this GREAT! I’ve had it for just a day and have been sending pictures from my phone to my Mac all day long. Why keep the high resolution pictures using up valuable memory. Send them right to your Mac or other device in real time. You don’t have to be there to receive it. Loving it!

The user of this service needs to be aware that each time you use it marketing data is collected, google does the same thing but there are ways to limit Google’s tracking of your data you cannot limit this application from collecting data from your personal files that you send through this service.. and I’m not entirely sure about how secure the information that you have on your iphone or mac that isn’t sent through the service because it has to has access to your file system on any device in order to work. Basically what this is, is you are consenting to allowing cookies to track and follow your habits around the web and collect information. There are rules for this service as well as a term of use which is immediately enforiced as each item can be saved up to 90 days or longer. While you are taking a risk with the app as long as you don’t send nudes or whatever using this application you should be safe however anything that violates the law or seems to be hate speech will get you blacklisted from the serive I would not in anyway send true private information through here… NOTHING THAT CAN PERSONALLY IDENTIFY YOU NEEDS TO BE SENT THROUGH THIS APPLICATION. Crashes

Open it. Hit recent. Crashes.

Tragic Flaw Already Noted...

As another reviewer noted: Hit icon in top menu, click on recent, color wheel spins, Crash. Not ready for prime time. Good concept, fatal glitch.

I have been waiting for something exactly like this for YEARS! All of this automatic syncing stuff from Apple never works. They say that “You jsut do nothing and your files are available”. When I am hurrying off to a meeting and my presentation isn’t on my iPad and no amount of shouting at it works I am completely helpless. With this on the other hand it’s a quick drag to the device and I’m done. THANK YOU!!!

Works but slowwwwwww

As title, it just works but the transfer speed is too slow, whatever, it’s a solution for who don’t have airdrop.

阿飞字转 · 10 years ago

As the reviews below say, this app works great! It’s how easy Airdrop should be and isn’t. I am only giving it 4 stars because of one small criticism. It seems that, for now the received files are stored in a hidden system file somewhere... I would love the ability to be able to select where the received files are saved so I can access them easily. Keep up the good work, excited to use this app more as it improves!

Same problem as reported by BIG M37 - sending pic from iPhone 5S seems fine, but can’t do anything with the app on my Macbook Pro without it crashing. Too bad because it looks great and would be if it worked. Running Yosemite on a 17” Macbook Pro and have all the updates. The app seemed to install ok and sits in the top bar like it should until I try to click ‘Recents to look for a pic sent from my iPhone - then the beachball spins for 1-2 secs and poof, it’s gone. Restarting the app is no help. Restarting the computer is no help. I’ll see how well Deskconnect email support works because nothing in their FAQ addresses this problem...

Bapa G · 10 years ago

If you manage to get into the preferences for the app without it crashing, you can set it to open things immediately and it’ll work. But if you don’t change that setting, this app will be nearly worthless to you because of the crashing. Once that’s fixed, however, this seems like a good way to get files from point a to point b.

Bill Somethingorother · 10 years ago

Tried this only to be greeted by yet another “service” asking me to create an account. Nope. This might have been convenient, but I’m not positive, given there is a limit on file size (Share as much as you want! but read their FAQs page first) and storage location is vague (storage on my system is “temporary” for 30 days — so it’s all only on your servers I can’t directly access?). I get that there needs to be a way to identify my stuff as belonging to me and me as the person accessing, but there’s little information about this company, service or partners.
